The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Long time no post-college work, clubs and society commitments, Christmas shopping, card making, visiting and undesirable events all contributing to this fact. However I do have some wonderful material to work with for many Christmas updates so here this one goes!
As you see above, the twinkly lights of Grafton St., Dublin have me mesmirised in this festive season, especially seeing as I've been in town Christmas shopping countless times this month-don't you just love them! Aahh, nothing like those lights to rouse my Christmas spirit. Anyway, as Grafton St. means shopping, it is only right that I am suitably clad for the winter chill while constantly wandering the streets of Dublin!
New red shiney boots! My new best friends! They have served me almost everyday since I've bought them-waterproof from slushy snow, raised from ground with plenty of grip on the ice and beautiful burgundy red for 'tis the season after all!
Carrying on my new obsession with all things red is my warm, wooly, bobble hat-€2, Penneys.

The gifts have commenced early (what is a girl to do!) Maitiú ironically got me in our college class' Kris Kindle
and bless him, he remembered me pointing these beautiful wooden bird cage earrings out a few months ago (and oh look at that, the're red too! :) )
Also, please admire my newly cut hair
-not all stragly looking anymore :)

Right, more updates of cards, clothes swaps and Christmas cards to come tomorrow (hopefully), but as I am curled up and cosy with my new Snuggle blanket and hotwater bottle (kindly given to me by Maitiú's family and seen in pic above) I bid thee goodnight! xx

Quick Post
I haven't posted at all recently, mainly due to yet more stressful circumstances, but I'll get to that some other time. To distract myself I've been doing jobs, cleaning, even starting into Christmas errands (I know, I know, too early I hear you cry! But I'm almost never prepared in time for Christmas so this year I'm starting early). Tonight's distraction took form of nail designs for an upcoming Art Market in college where I hope to sell my nail painting services! Here are some of my usual creations plus a few festive favourites!

Happy Haloweeeeeen!
Thriller, Monster Mash and the Harry Potter theme tune, monkey nuts, barm brack and pumpkin soup, face paint, party games and scary movies-aren't the old halloween traditions just the best? On the spur of the moment yesterday morning I decided that I wanted a traditional Halloween. I found coloured crepe paper and a tablecloth in the €2 Shop, brack, nuts and sweets in Tesco and with a little imagination (okay a lot of imagination) was able to turn my college apartment into a spooky fortress....
I really started to get into character at this stage and made a cauldron of hot steamy pumpkin soup...
I felt like a little girl dressing up for Halloween, my witches costume and improvised make up (soudo creme, black face paint and red eye shadow!), however the missing middrift does bring a certain maturity to the whole thing I must admit. :D
Maitiú came dressed as a bed!
After an evening of playing Monster Twister, bobbing for apples, playing air guitar to "Bat Out of Hell", overdosing on sugar and fizzy drinks and watching fireworks out the window, what better way to finish the night than curling up and watching "the Excorsist"(if one can possibly curl up comfortabley to such a movie!). Happy Halloween everybody, how did you spend your night? :) x

Howth
I was feeling very sad and irritated this morning. I had slept in and missed the deadline for sending in a college assignment which made me feel very annoyed that I hadn't just done it any of the first 6 days that we had to do it. O well.
To cheer me up, Maitiú darling brought me to Howth. What a plan, what a day and what a place. Thank you my love! First we went to Sutton where we looked out on the bay from the cliffs. Then we went onto the Maritime Village of Howth and walked down the pier in the blustery sunny afternoon.
That sure blew away the cobwebs from my irritated little head, while also giving me a wonderful oppurtunity to give my new, "best-bargain-I've-ever-got" shoes an outing :)
These lovelies were €86 in Urban Outfitters. They were on sale for €12. I got them at student discount for €10.80. Needless to say I was thrilled with myself and now have a great feeling about the CV I left in there. Fingers crossed-imagine the staff discount!! :D
