Party Time

Wow I'm tired this morning! But happy. :) What better way to shake the blues than a party, eh? Two friends of mine had their joint 21st last night and I went all out to look amazing. I really think half the fun is in planning and preparing the whole look for the night ;)

Like curling hair and painting nails....

...practicing in my newest bargain-€5 black heels....
....taming the frizz....
...bitta powder, bitta eyeliner...
...being so excited to wear brand new purchaces...
...also not forgetting little gifts and my signature handmade cards....
...et voilá!

Great night (and early morning!) had by all ;)

Feeling Blue

I have seen a lot of stress, confusion, anger, sadness and tiredness in my life of late. It has been a rollercoaster of emotion but has given me a new persprective on life, the strength to do things I would have never done before and the courage to want to use this new strength to the best of my ability in the future. However, no matter how strong I stay through something there always has to come a time of rest-a rest to take in what I've been through, to listen to my body and to just take the time to be sad for a while. I don't intend to wallow in depression but for now my blue period-no matter how blue-is still food for my inspiration. Much like Picasso.

Seaseme St. Nostalgia

Now that I am in my twenties I am clinging to anything that keeps me young at heart. Recently I have suddenly become associated with anything to do with my favourite childhood show, Seaseme St. and although I have done nothing to encourage this, I am embracing it happily! ;)

New Treasures

It would seem that through recent shopping expeditions, the constant rain (yes, it's June alright) and birthday gifts I have accquired some wonderful and beautiful things. Some are thanks to a nack of spotting a bargain, others as a results of my resourfulness (aka bordom!), but most thanks has to go to my wonderful Maitiú who has an exquisite eye for birthday presents ;) Above are pictured a cute yellow 60's style satchel (I'm loving the 60s lately!) €13, and tan brogues that cost all of €5 and I;ve been living in for the past week.

Wall of photos of Maitiú and my past year and a half together.

I've been wanting a new bed spread for a while to replace my grubby white one and it just so happens that I found this old one which spruced up nicely once a throw and yellow pillow covers were added :)

My love boat from my love...
...and a beautiful wooden sewing kit...
...and the cutest and smallest easel and canvas I;ve ever seen! Thanks M. x

So I leave you with the promise of dress designs and creations for a later blog entry....
