When in Rome......

......we ate much pizza and Ice cream, visited amazing artworks such as the Sistine Chapel, Raphael Rooms and the Pieta, climbed to the top of St Peter's Basillica, threw a coin in the Trevii Fountain, climbed the Spanish steps, made a day trip to Pompeii and climbed Mt Vesuveus, visited the Colesseum, picniced in the Circus Maximus, shopped for holy souvenirs and coffee, witnessed wonderful squares such as the Piazza De Poppollo, searched high and low and eventually saw the Hard Rock Café, I sampled Limoncello and had many an espresso and capuccino and most importantly I was reunited with my Maitiú. Yes i think I can safely say that I have "done Rome" and in style :)

A Day At the Zoo

So I guess you could say I had one of the best weekends that I've had all summer last week. I officially passed my driving test on sunny Friday (I have never driven worse! I should be very grateful for the sunny day, the Friday feeling and being last person on his list for the day!) I then, after much persuading managed to get Saturday off to go to Dublin to see my love, spend the day in Phoenix Park and go to his summer BBQ.
I think the park is so pretty! There are so many little architecural treasures, one can't help but want to look pretty to fit in! I do love that the coronations decided to match my dress on the day. :)
The zoo is situated in among the trees and lawns, and since I haven't been there since I was in primary school I had wuite forgotten what a lovely day is to be had there. I really feel like we were going back to the days of a good, clean and simple day out-the plants, the animals and the wonderful company :)

Rome, sun and clothes!

So the weather has taken a turn for the worst and is now dull, dreary
and terribley depressing. As the rain came down in sheets I mentally packed my bags for my long awaited holiday in 2weeks. I got to thinking, what lovely things am I going to don in the Roman sunshine, art and historical architecture, and somehow setting my mind on other such things than the dreadful Irish weather, began to make me forget the damp and cold....
